The Akalat Top is an easy and quick knitwear top to sew for a very beautiful effect. This top with a square neckline and puffed sleeves can be made in many ways to accompany you both in your daily life or for a more elegant look. The ease of the sleeves means they can be sewn in the same knit fabric or in a contrasting non-stretch fabric. This allows you to play with volumes and materials by sewing sleeves in lace, dotted Swiss, organza, tulle, or muslin. It’s up to you to let your imagination run free. You have the option to sew this top with short, three-quarter, or long sleeves. The sleeves are puffed and gathered with an elastic passed through a casing.

For this top, mainly consider your bust measurement. If your hip measurement is more than 2 sizes above your bust measurement, it is better to grade between the two bust sizes towards the hips.

If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size.

The Akalat Top must be sewn in a fabric with a stretch rate between 20 and 40%. You can choose knits (cotton jersey, ribbed or textured knits, Milano, Verona, etc.) or woven fabrics with at least 5% elastane. The sleeves can be sewn in all types of fabrics, stretch or not (dotted Swiss, organza, lace, embroidered tulle, etc.).
