The Mackaon junior sweatshirt is a unisex sweatshirt model.
It is a unisex pattern that you can make more or less gendered depending on the options and fabrics you choose:
- simple collar or hood
- with or without pocket
- straight or puffed sleeve (with sleeve cuff)
- with or without front yoke
- with or without front ruffle
- with or without shoulder ruffle
In total, 48 versions are available to you depending on the combination of options chosen.
This pattern is designed to be assembled with a serger. Decorative stitches (pocket and hood) are done with a sewing machine. However, it is entirely possible to sew it completely with a sewing machine.

Required materials
Fabric
- A stretch fabric: French Terry, sweatshirt jersey, fleece, minky, knit velvet, polar fleece.
The chosen fabric must have a minimum stretch of 20%, meaning a 10 cm strip should stretch to 12 cm when pulled perpendicular to the grainline.
- The following pieces can be cut from rib knit fabric or from the main fabric: collar, wristbands, waistband.
- The following pieces can be cut from a woven fabric or from the main fabric: front yoke, front ruffle, cap sleeve.


Haberdashery
- Some matching thread, jersey needles, a twin needle.
- For the clean finish strip of the collar: 25 cm of bias tape 2.5 cm wide (or cut a bias strip lengthwise, the standard width of bias tape being 4 cm).
- For the hood version and if you want to add a hood cord: 2 squares of 3 cm of fusible interfacing fabric, 2 eyelets or 2 buttonholes, 60 cm to 1.20 m (depending on sizes) of cord.
