Pattern printed of the sweatshirt and sweater dress Love by Leati and Léa from 34 to 50

The Amour sweater was born from the meeting between Karolina La Petite Frambise and Laetitia Laeti and Léa.

It is a very feminine design with its boat neckline and puffed sleeves. It was created with a pretty gathered ruffle on the front and gathered ruffles on the shoulders that give it a romantic look.

You can sew it with the following options:

• Without the ruffles.
• With shoulder pads (flat shoulder ruffles) and inserting a bias tape instead of the front ruffle.
• Sleeve cuff wider or narrower (6 or 9 cm).
• Straight bodice or bodice with a waist band.
• Sweater or dress.
  

Let your imagination run free to create all the versions that suit you.

This pattern is designed to be assembled with an overlocker and a sewing machine. However, it is perfectly possible to sew it entirely with a sewing machine.

Available sizes: 34 / 36 / 38 / 40 / 42 / 44 / 46 / 48 / 50

It is designed for a height of 1.65 m.

The most important measurements for this model are height and bust circumference.

If you are taller or shorter than the stated height, and the finished garment measurements do not fit you, you can make adjustments: you can shorten or lengthen the bodice and/or the sleeves.

If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller size for a fitted version, the larger size for a looser version.

Required materials

Fabric

A stretchy fabric but not too thick (to avoid creating too much bulk at the gathered pieces): French Terry, interlock, sweatshirt fabric, fleece, knitted velvet, polar fleece, knitted fabric…. We recommend choosing a fabric with at least 30% stretch, meaning a 10cm strip should stretch to at least 13 cm when pulled perpendicular to the grainline.

The following pieces can be cut from  ribbing fabric or the main fabric: collar, wristbands, waist band.

Small haberdashery

• Matching  thread,  jersey needles, a twin needle.
• Elastic thread.
• About thirty centimeters of  bias tape for the collar facing (Optional)
• 1m of piping if piping is used at the front seam.
• For soft “knitted fabric” interfacing suitable for knit fabrics (Soft and light bi-stretch woven interfacing for stretch fabrics)

Note: There are other brands, but to give you an idea, at Vlieseline we recommend the reference G785 and the stretch fusible straight grain support tape.
