Pattern printed of the Courtney coat from Dress Your Body (34 to 46) - fr
The Courtney coat, with its kimono sleeves, “shawl” style collar, and pockets hidden in the front yoke, is a short coat for a lively and very trendy look!
The pattern for the Courtney coat is offered with or without lining. You can thus adapt your creation according to your desire and depending on the fabric and style you want to give the Courtney coat. The bias finish for example is particularly well suited for the use of double-faced fleece fabrics.
In both cases, the pattern for the Courtney coat offers very neat finishes and, made up of very few pattern pieces, it allows for quick sewing and a fun assembly!
Very slightly fitted at the back, you can wear the Courtney coat with a tie belt, available in the pattern, but also with a leather belt, contrasting or not, and even without a belt.
- Pattern offered with lined version or bound version (seam allowances finished with bias tape)
- Shawl collar
- Pockets set into the seam of the front yoke
- Tie belt
- Loops at the back (optional)

BOUND VERSION (BIAS FINISHES)
Recommended yardage for 140cm wide fabric:
- Size 34: 250cm (*) / Size 36: 260cm (*) / Sizes 38 to 42: 280cm / Sizes 44 and 46: 290cm
NOTE:
If your fabric has no nap, you can place the front facings in the opposite direction to the straight grain because the fabric saving is significant. If your fabric has a nap, like velvet or if there is a print, stick to the standard placement (straight grain) to avoid creating an unsightly visual effect.
Yardage for 140cm wide fabric with facings placed opposite to the straight grain:
- Sizes 34 and 36: 230cm (*) / Sizes 38 and 40: 240cm (*) / Sizes 42 and 44: 250cm / Size 46: 280cm (*)
LINED VERSION
Recommended yardage for 140cm wide fabric:
- FABRIC: Sizes 34-36: 220cm (*) / Size 38: 230cm (*) / Sizes 40-42: 240cm (*) / Sizes 44-46: 250cm (*)
- LINING: Sizes 34-36: 175cm / Sizes 38-40: 180cm / Sizes 42-46: 185cm
(*) A tie belt is included in the pattern. However, if you prefer to wear your coat with a belt made of another material or even without a belt, it is then not necessary to make it.
For some sizes, this will not change the required fabric yardage. However, for the sizes marked (*) in the table, you can reduce the recommended yardage by 20cm if you do not make the belt.
