The Sonic jacket is a lovely jacket for the mid-season whose ease allows you to wear a light sweater underneath. It can be made closed with a zip or closed with buttons. Its numerous topstitchings, the gathers on the sleeves and the front make it an original piece, with a look both sporty and feminine.

DETAIL:

• Can be made in zip version or button version
• Vest pockets
• Tailored sleeves finished with a high cuff. Gathers on the sleeve head.
• Front and back yokes lined. It is recommended to use a lining fabric for the inner yokes to avoid bulk.
• Numerous topstitchings
• Seam allowances are included and are 1cm

DIFFICULTY: Experienced level.

SIZES: Pattern sheet ranging from size 34 to 46, that is a bust measurement from 81 to 108 cm.

RECOMMENDED YARDAGE FOR A 140cm WIDE FABRIC:

The fabric yardage needed to make the “Sonic” jacket is the same for the zip and button versions. However, it differs depending on the size and finishing options (inner yokes in lining or main fabric) that you wish to sew.

Inner yokes made in main fabric:

• Main fabric: 160cm for sizes 34 and 36 / 185cm for sizes 38 to 46
• Lining fabric: 25cm

Inner yokes made in lining fabric:

• Main fabric: 150cm for sizes 34 and 36 / 170cm for sizes 38 to 46
• Lining fabric: 35cm

OTHER SUPPLIES:

Whatever the version:

• Interfacing for the collar, cuffs, zip or button plackets, waistband and pocket flaps
• 90cm of bias tape if you want to bind the inside of the pockets

For the zip version:

• 1 detachable zip 40cm long
• 5 buttons about 2 cm in diameter (4 for the cuffs and 1 for the waistband)

For the button version:

• • 5 buttons about 2.5cm in diameter for the front
