Pattern printed of the Brooke smock by Laeti and Léa from size 32 to 52 (fr)
Brooke is a pullover with a fitted shoulder and a straight cut, whose idea was inspired to me by Chloé @les_pampas_de_chloe. A pullover originally is a traditional Breton sailor garment, a practical work blouse with a split collar in front and a back yoke for durability. Today, fashion embraces this unisex and timeless garment for a "seaside" style. In the most basic version of Brooke, you can sew a classic pullover. You can also customize your blouse and even add a touch of femininity and originality thanks to different options:
- Front split collar with flat collar (without collar stand).
- Front polo placket with flat collar, classic stand collar or pleated Victorian collar.
- 3 Sleeves : short straight (elbow length), long straight, or shirt with capucin placket and buttoned cuff.
- Back simple or with a wide box pleat.
- 2, 1, or no patch pocket in front.
- The little extras: a buttoned band on the back yoke, a double ruffled collar, and a neck scarf.
Ideal for a casual look or a bolder style, the Brooke pullover is both comfortable and elegant, versatile depending on the fabric you choose: it's up to you to sew the pattern that reflects you!
THE PLUS: the sleeves of the Lucine shirt, the Silène blouse, and the Brooke pullover are compatible!
Sewing level
intermediate. The technical points are the assembly of the collar and cuffs, the polo placket and the capucin placket at the bottom of the sleeve. You will learn to assemble the lined back with the sleeve technique.
