Mésange is a feminine and comfortable model to sew in knit fabric, co-developed with Les Lubies de Louise, available as a dress or a top. Its strap seams elegantly highlight the silhouette, while its set-in sleeves bring a modern and clean touch. The dress version features a marked high waist and a skater skirt for a lovely flow, while the top version reinterprets the t-shirt with a refined play of seams. These 3 necklines allow for style variations: a wrap, a square neckline, or a high collar adorned with a faux button placket.

Mésange is a dress that fits relatively close to the body, nipped in at the waist. However, the cut of the model and its ease provide fullness at the hips. Use your bust measurement to choose your size. Take the closest size.

For the version with a lined bodice, allow 1 m of fusible stretch stay tape to stabilise the neckline. You can also cut a 1 cm strip from stretch fusible stay tape.

Mésange should be sewn in a stretchy and supple fabric of light to medium weight with a minimum stretch rate of 30%. Choose soft knits, cotton or viscose jersey, etc. Avoid fabrics that are too stiff.
You can play with colours and materials by sewing the different panels in contrasting fabrics.
