The Divine dress is a very special dress… because it was designed by two hands and it is the first collaboration of DressYourBody!

It is the result of a joint effort with Virginie @nomdunecouture and we created our dress, a dress that can be adapted in different ways to give it the style you want.

Thus, you can play with the length of the skirt, the finishing of the pockets, the way to position the gathered collar, or even choose not to put it on at all.

In any case, the Divine dress will definitely be a comfortable dress with its elasticated waist and long sleeves, a dress to wear on all occasions.

DIFFICULTY: All sewing levels

Making the Divine dress does not present any particular difficulty. There is no zipper, no cuff, no buttonhole… it is therefore accessible even to beginners. And if you really want to simplify the assembly, just do not put the gathered collar or ruffles on the pockets!

DETAILS:

• Bloused top and gathered skirt, both connected by a casing and an elastic
• V-neck with 2 types of collars: a raised gathered collar or a folded gathered collar
• The long sleeves have an elastic to tighten them so there is no cuff or buttonhole to make
• 2 pockets on the front, rounded and slightly “detached” from the skirt
• Option to add ruffles on the pockets. As with the collar, the ruffles can be raised or folded over the pocket.

   

Recommended fabric length for a 140cm wide fabric:

• FOR THE SHORT VERSION: 180 cm for sizes 34 and 36 / 200 cm for sizes 38 to 40 / 230 cm for sizes 42 to 46
• FOR THE LONG VERSION: 220 cm for sizes 34 to 40 / 270 cm for sizes 42 to 46

Other supplies:

• A 1.5 cm wide elastic band for the waist.
  The required length depends on the sewn size: 34/77cm; 36/80cm; 38/83cm; 40/87cm; 42/90cm; 44/93cm; 46/97cm
• Two 7mm wide elastic bands for the wrists.
  For each wrist, take a length equal to “your wrist circumference + 2cm + 2cm seam allowance”
• Interfacing for the neckline facings
• 1 spool of thread
