Néris is the pinafore dress we love to bring out all year round.
With its short and feminine trapeze cut, it can be worn alone in summer or layered over a blouse or a thin sweater as soon as the temperatures drop.

The pattern offers three neckline options to suit every desire:
• a round neck, simple and timeless,
• a V-neck, elegant, with an optional bias button placket (for the more confident),
• a boat neck with knots on the shoulders, for a modern and delicate touch.

And if you prefer tops to dresses, Néris is also available as a top, easy to wear, effortlessly chic.
A true wardrobe staple, to sew in all seasons.

By sewing Néris, you will learn to:
 Sew darts
 Make bound seams
Sew a button placket with neat finishes
 Make understitching

Size choice

Néris is a trapeze dress with a bit of ease.
Use your bust measurement to choose your size.
Take the closest size. If your hip measurement is more than 2 sizes above your bust measurement, it is better to grade between the two sizes from bust to hips.

The size chart

Simple top: 100 cm of fabric (140 cm wide)

Simple dress:
32-44: 130 cm of fabric (140 cm wide)
46-52: 190 cm of fabric (140 cm wide)

Dress with overlap:
190 cm of fabric (140 cm wide) and 6 buttons (Ø 18 mm)

All versions: In addition to the fabric, you will need 70 cm of lightweight fusible interfacing

The choice of fabric for the Néris model will mainly depend on the desired look and the chosen variations. Stiffer materials will highlight the trapeze cut, while softer fabrics will offer more movement.

The dress can be worn during the warm seasons in materials such as linen, cotton, or even macramé knit. It will also be perfect in winter, sewn in denim, gabardine, and jacquard.

Skill level: 2/5

Time: 2/5

It is preferable to have sewn a few pieces before sewing Néris, but its simple cut makes it accessible to motivated beginners. Especially those who want to improve by learning techniques such as bound seams.
The version with overlap is reserved for experienced sewers.
