Little brother of Lucine, Silène is a tailored collar blouse with open notches whose optimal ease and gathers at the back have been designed to combine comfort and elegance. Very feminine with its slightly fitted cut, it will become a staple of your wardrobe.

To personalize your blouse and enjoy it whatever the season, you can choose between several options:

• 3 busts: long simple, short simple or short tied.
• 2 back finishes: gathers or inverted pleat.
• 2 collars : a small collar and a large collar.
• 3 sleeves: short straight with cuff and tab, elbow-length straight with cuff and tab, or long puffed with elasticated wrist.
• 2, 1 or no rounded patch pocket at the front.

These details allow you to create a shirt that adapts to your desires and style.

Sewing level

Intermediate. The technical point is the assembly of the tailored collar. You will learn to sew the flat-felled seam and to assemble the lined back with the sleeve placket technique.

Size guide

This pattern is designed for a height of 165 cm.

The most important measurements for this model are bust circumference and bicep circumference.

If you are between 2 sizes, take the larger size.

Required materials

Fabric

Choose a lightweight to medium weight woven fabric (80 to 160g/m2) depending on the season and desired look: lightweight cotton (cotton poplin, cotton voile, Liberty…), embroidered cotton, crepe, tencel, viscose, linen-viscose, chambray, silk, cotton-silk…

Warning! The values are given as an indication and may vary depending on the options you have chosen and your ability to arrange the pieces at the time of cutting the fabric.

Small haberdashery

• Some thread matching, needles suitable for your fabric.
• Sew-on buttons 10 to 12 mm: 4 to 6 buttons for the center front + 2 for the sleeve cuff tabs
• 50 cm of flat elastic 1.5 cm wide.
• Some fusible interfacing suitable for your fabric* for the collar and facings.

Note : Type and thickness to choose according to your fabric. A fabric interfaced with a woven fusible will keep its natural feel and drape but with more body. A fabric interfaced with a non-woven fusible will have a stiffer appearance.
