Sofia is a set of 4 patterns designed for baby's bath time and changing routine: a portable changing mat, a hooded bath towel, a wash mitt and an organiser. Optional ears are included for the hooded towel and wash mitt. The portable organiser has removable dividers for storing nappies, toiletries, clothes, toys and more. The changing mat has pockets and a detachable towel for easy washing. Carefully finished French and bound seams give a refined result.

What you will learn with this pattern: binding seams with bias tape, assembling a cube with French seams and attaching ears.

Suggested fabrics

• Outer fabric: corduroy, quilted fabric, jacquard, sherpa, denim, gabardine, canvas, linen, oilcloth or coated fabric, poplin, seersucker, chambray, Swiss dot cotton, double gauze.
• Lining: poplin, seersucker, chambray, linen, Swiss dot cotton, double gauze.
• Towelling: looped, double-sided, cotton, bamboo or waffle weave.

Supplies

• 10 mm prong snap fasteners.
• Bias tape.
• Woven fusible interfacing.
• Mesh-covered foam stabiliser, such as Vlieseline Style-Vil.
• Fleece interfacing, such as Vlieseline H630 or H640.
• Firm fusible interfacing, such as Vlieseline S320, optional for the organiser dividers.

The fabric quantities allow for three materials: outer fabric, lining and towelling. If you use only two fabrics, as in the pink Liberty version, add together the quantities needed for each project.

If you would like to make your own bias tape, allow the following fabric quantities:

• For the hooded towel and wash mitt set with homemade bias tape, allow an extra 40 cm of fabric.
• For the changing mat with homemade bias tape, allow an extra 40 cm of fabric.

• Bilingual French/English instructions.
• 2 multi-size pattern sheets. The pattern pieces do not overlap.

Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
