Sofia is a set of 4 patterns designed around the world of baby bathing and changing: a portable changing mat, a bath cape, a wash glove, and an organizer. Ear options are offered for the bath cape and wash glove. The portable organizer includes removable dividers to store diapers, hygiene products, clothes, toys... The changing mat has pockets and a detachable towel for easy washing. The finishes are neat (flat-felled and bound seams) for a refined result.

What you will learn with this pattern: binding seams (applying bias tape), assembling a cube with flat-felled seams, assembling ears.

Fabric suggestions

• Outer fabric: corduroy, quilted, jacquard, sherpa, denim, gabardine, canvas, linen, oilcloth or coated fabric, poplin, seersucker, chambray, plumetis, double gauze.
• Lining: poplin, seersucker, chambray, linen, plumetis, double gauze.
• Terry cloth: looped, double-sided, cotton, bamboo, honeycomb.

Supplies

• 10 mm snap fasteners with prongs.
• Bias tape.
• Woven fusible interfacing.
• Mesh foam (type Vlieseline Style-Vil).
• Wadding interfacing (type Vlieseline H630 or H640).
• Rigid fusible interfacing (type Vlieseline S320) optional for the organizer dividers.

The yardages are planned for three materials (outer fabric, lining, and terry cloth). If you use only two fabrics (as in the pink Liberty version), add the yardages needed for each project.

If you want to make your own bias, here are the yardages to plan for:

• For the bath cape and glove set with a homemade bias, allow 40 cm of extra fabric.
• For the changing mat with a homemade bias, allow 40 cm of extra fabric.

• 2 multi-size pattern sheets. On this pattern, the pieces do not overlap.

Seam allowances are included in the pattern.
