Kita by Atelier des Premières is a loose-fitting, fully lined jacket that can be worn as a short coat. The rounded neckline reveals the garment underneath, while two buttons close the front. It has long sleeves and pockets concealed in the seams.

The pattern

  • Downloadable PDF sewing pattern. No physical item is shipped.
  • Sizes XS to XXL. Choose your usual size, or the smaller size if between sizes, after making a toile.
  • Advanced level; estimated sewing time: 6 hours. Seam allowances included.
  • French 25-page instruction booklet, plus two layered pattern files: A4, 42 pages, and one extended A0-width sheet, 841 × 2,648 mm.
  • Three individual PDFs, without ZIP archives. Check the extended sheet dimensions with your print shop. No English, US Letter or projector file included.

Fabric and supplies

Choose a fabric with some structure, such as wool coating, denim, gabardine or a suitable quilted fabric. Heavy knit fabric of at least 400 g/m² gives a cardigan-like finish. Use cotton or viscose satin for the lining.

  • At 140 cm fabric width: 2.30 m main fabric for all sizes.
  • Lining: 1.30 m for XS–M; 2.20 m for L–XXL.
  • 1 m interfacing, two 20–22 mm buttons and thread.
