Hocco, an Instinct Couture pattern from the Willow collection, offers bib overalls and sailor-style trousers. Its barrel cut widens at the thighs and then tapers towards the ankles. The side button closure and mock fly are finished with denim-inspired details.
- Adjustable straps and a pointed back for the overalls.
- Slanted front pockets, patch pockets at the back and a divided pocket on the bib.
- Optional belt loops and topstitching.

Fabrics and notions
Choose a woven fabric with some body, around 250 to 400 g/m²: denim, twill, gabardine, canvas or corduroy. Stretch is not essential.
Fabric requirements for 140 cm width:
- Trousers: 150 cm for sizes 32 to 38; 200 cm for sizes 40 to 46; 240 cm for sizes 48 to 52.
- Overalls: 250 cm for sizes 32 to 46; 300 cm for sizes 48 to 52.
- All versions: 30 cm lining, 50 cm lightweight interfacing and 50 cm fusible straight-grain tape.
- 6 buttons for the trousers; 8 buttons and 2 adjustable 35 mm buckles for the overalls.
Choosing your size
Base your choice on waist and hip measurements. If between two sizes, choose the smaller size for the trousers. For the overalls, choose according to the desired ease. Making a toile helps fine-tune the fit.
