Printed sleeveless vest sewing pattern for women from size 32 to 52

Sleeveless vest sewing pattern for women.
Fully lined.
2 lengths: short (waist), long (mid-hips).
3 closures: edge-to-edge (no overlap), buttoned (overlapped over a buttoning height), double-breasted (overlapped over a double buttoning height).
3 necklines: round neck, V-neck, high neck.
Different types of closures: buttons, snaps, tie, frog closure(s), loop(s) and button(s), strap, zip.
Optional pockets set into the seam (long version only).
Belt and belt loops option for the long version.

What you will learn with this pattern: lining a garment, sewing pockets set into a seam, assembling a belt and belt loops.

Size range: 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52

Size 32 corresponds approximately to a 14-year-old and 34 to a 16-year-old.

Material suggestions:

  • Woven: sherpa, faux fur, puffer, fleece, corduroy, linen, poplin, double gauze, flannel, wool fabric, denim, chambray, gabardine, jacquard
  • Knit: sweatshirt, French terry, quilted sweatshirt, jersey, terry cloth
  • Batting if quilted option

 

Supplies to provide

  • Buttons or snaps option: thin fusible interfacing + 15 mm buttons or snaps
  • Tie option: ribbon, cord, lace, braid...
  • Frog closure option: 1 to 5 frog closures
  • Zip option: separable metal or plastic zip (see measurements on the chart)
  • Strap option: 40 mm strap (about 60 cm) + 2 half-round 38 mm buckle loops

The requirements are the same for the outer fabric and the lining. The indicated requirements are for one fabric only. For example, for a long double-breasted vest, V-neck, size 40, you will need 70 cm of outer fabric and 70 cm of lining.
