PDF - Digital Pattern of the Edith Skirt from Atelier Bernie in sizes 32 to 50 (fr)
The Edith skirt pays tribute to “La Môme” who left a mark on the history of French song and still soothes us today. Edith Piaf grew up in poverty and lived her passion at all costs, to have no regrets and see life through rose-coloured glasses!
It is a model of a simple or asymmetrical wrap skirt that crosses over and fastens on the left front with a knot or a button. The left panel attaches inside the right front by a buttonhole. The Edith skirt has a simple waistband that defines the waist. It is designed with a lining. The patch pockets are optional and allow playing with the asymmetry of the model if you choose to put only one.
It features two different front pieces which offer a multitude of possibilities:
- simple front for a classic wrap skirt
- asymmetrical right front that extends beyond the left front for the short version
- two asymmetrical fronts to reveal the legs in the long version
If you sew it in a fabric with body, you can have fun topstitching the seams to give it more character and a denim skirt spirit!
It is a skirt that will accompany you over time thanks to its adjustable fastening system. It is quite possible to move the outer and inner buttons over time and to tighten or loosen the outer knot. You can even choose two outer and inner buttons to change the skirt’s ease during the day.
You will not need an overlocker.
