Pattern for Simone shirt dress from Atelier Bernie

The Simone shirt bears this name made feminist thanks to the women who wore it. It pays tribute to Simone Veil and Simone de Beauvoir whom we no longer need to introduce, but who remain a source of inspiration for me.

It is a model of shirt or shirt dress with a classic appearance but distinguished by its elegant details. It features a retro tailored collar that is also so modern at the same time. Its cut is loose without being too baggy. Pretty bust darts start from the shoulder and continue into the back.

It can be sewn as a shirt or as a dress version to be worn with a ready-made belt or a belt sewn in the same fabric with a buckle and eyelets. Its sleeves are certainly what makes it a unique model: a box pleat on the sleeve cap that creates volume along the entire arm. It ends with another box pleat above the wrist, adorned with two flat tucks.
