Sewing – My jersey or pointelle T-shirt with the sewing machine: I learn all the techniques for perfect finishes

Have you always dreamed of knowing how to sew jersey t-shirts but haven't dared to take the plunge... you don't have a serger and don't want to invest in one? ... No worries, sewing jersey is also possible with a sewing machine, and we'll help you create your first pieces with top-notch finishes that only a sewing machine can achieve!

Prerequisites for this course:
- Know how to use a sewing machine and have sewn at least one garment (participation in the course: I discover sewing and sew my first garment, or equivalent experience)

During these 2 sessions of 3-hour courses, you will learn:

• key points to consider when sewing jersey on a sewing machine (equipment, stitches, needles...)
• the different types of jersey and their elasticity (how to calculate it...)
• finishes: neckline band and length calculation
• How to sew a neck tape
• lettuce hem
• scalloped hem

Together, we will make your first jersey or pointelle t-shirt sewn entirely on the sewing machine
You will be able to choose a Pattern among these three suggested models:
- Honeygirl for pointelle
- Blandine by Iam Patterns
- Plantain by Deer and Doe

The course includes:

• 2 x 3 hours of sewing guided by an experienced teacher
• sewing on high-quality Janome Sewist 780 electronic machines
• provision of basic supplies: scissors, pins, thread…
• the t-shirt Pattern
• smiles, kindness, and respect for everyone

Our courses take place in our workshop at:
Either in Ixelles: Avenue de la couronne, 357 1050 Ixelles
Or in Woluwe Saint Lambert: Avenue Georges Henri, 328 1200 Woluwe Saint Lambert
