Do you want to sew an original piece for your wardrobe with flawless finishes? Do you want to learn more about bias tape and especially how to place it correctly?
Then why not a pretty Japanese apron with very elegant finishes.
The course « my Japanese apron » is made for you!

Together we will learn:

  • to trace the pattern of the apron
  • to cut the pieces correctly
  • to bind the assembly seams
  • to assemble the apron
  • to make finishes with saddle-stitched bias tape
  • to make a hem with hidden bias tape
  • to sew a patch pocket (depending on your level) 

The prerequisites for this course are knowing how to use a sewing machine. People who have taken the course I discover sewing or I sew my first garment are welcome to this themed workshop.
Finally, English speakers are welcome! 

The group is made up of a maximum of 6 students.

The course includes:

  • 1 X 2h30 of technical explanations, cutting and preparation of the pattern pieces, preparation of seam binding
  • 1 X 2h30 of sewing the project and finishing with bias tape
  • The use of sewing machines and overlockers (depending on your level)
  • the provision of basic equipment: scissors, pins, black or white overlocker thread…
  • smiles, kindness and respect for everyone
  • unlimited complimentary drinks

Not included: the apron fabric, bias tape and matching thread

For the first course, it is necessary to come with woven fabric (denim, washed linen, cotton twill, woven velvet...) washed and ironed. Do not hesitate to contact me or come to the shop for the yardage to plan according to your size and the width of the chosen fabric.
