My travel bag
Do you want to sew a useful and beautiful accessory for traveling, going to the gym, class, or to store your sewing or knitting projects? Then why not come sew a beautiful bag with us?
We will learn together:
- how to use interfacings for accessories and to stiffen them
- how to choose your fabric based on the desired result
- how to sew through thick layers
- how to install zippers, sew pockets, attach straps, clips, rings...
- how to sew a label if desired
- and above all, we will make a top-notch bag!
The prerequisite for this course is to have at least taken an introductory sewing course.
The pattern offered for this course is the Altitude bag by Bynatpatterns.
This pattern offers you two practical sizes:
- The cabin bag (55 x 40 x 20 cm) is designed to meet the most common dimensions, allowing you to travel worry-free with most airlines.
- The cabin bag (40 x 30 x 15 cm) meets the minimum dimensions for checked luggage, ideal for all your air travels, but also perfect as a weekend bag!
The group is limited to a maximum of 6 students.
The course includes:
- 3 sessions of 2h30 each with technical explanations, pattern testing and preparation, and sewing the final bag
- Use of quality electronic sewing machines Janome Sewist 780 and Juki Kirei serger
- Provision of basic materials: scissors, pins, black or white serger thread…
- the bag pattern
- smiles, kindness, and respect for everyone
Our courses are held in our workshop at:

- Train (Etterbeek station) - 5 minutes walk
- Tram 8 (ULB stop) - 15 minutes on foot or transfer to Bus 71 to Ixelles Cemetery
- Metro 5 (Delta stop) - 15 minutes on foot or transfer to Bus 71 to Ixelles Cemetery
Getting to the Woluwe workshop by public transport:
- Tram 7 or 25 (George Henri stop) - 4 minutes on foot
- Metro 1 (Joséphine Charlotte stop) - 9 minutes on foot
- Metro 1 (Montgomery stop) - 9 minutes on foot
- Metro 1 or 5 (Mérode stop) - 12 minutes on foot
- Train (Mérode stop) - 12 minutes on foot
- Train (Etterbeek station) then transfer to tram 7 towards Heyzel or tram 25 towards Roger to George Henri stop - 4 minutes on foot
- Train (Central Station) then transfer to metro 1 towards Stockel to Joséphine Charlotte stop - 9 minutes on foot
This class is taught in French. We can provide additional explanations in English if needed.
