Sewing – All about zippers (level 1)

The zip, the zipper... that scary essential! And yet, with a little explanation, technique and patience, inserting a zipper becomes child's play!
Would you like to insert zippers (neatly) into your projects without any hassle?
Then the technical course: All about zippers is made for you!

In this 3-hour workshop, we will create technical samples to learn the best methods to integrate and sew:
- an exposed zipper
- an invisible zipper
- a lapped zipper

We will cover the following points:

• Knowing the right type of zip, depending on the desired visual effect for your project, considering the pros and cons of each.
  
• The sewing machine feet useful for sewing zips, whether it is the conventional zipper foot or the invisible zipper foot.
  

You will go home with your samples to guide you in your future projects.

Prerequisites: from advanced beginner level (knowing how to use the machine in a straight line, backstitch...)
This workshop is suitable for people discovering sewing, as well as for those more experienced who want to expand their knowledge and create beautiful finishes.

The course includes:

• 1 x 3h00 of sewing guided by an experienced teacher
• sewing on quality Janome Sewist 780 electronic machines
• provision of basic equipment: scissors, pins, thread…
• the materials needed to make the technical projects (zips, fabrics, and threads)
• smiles, kindness, and respect for everyone
• Unlimited drinks
