Marie scarf - I learn increases and decreases on circular needles
To fight off the chill of the weather, I wanted to keep my little neck warm with a small scarf to tie close to the body. And voilà! I invite you to knit the “Marie Scarf” together to wrap yourself in a cloud of softness.
This workshop is for anyone wanting to make the Marie Scarf while enjoying good knitting moments and especially for beginners who want to improve their skills (see below) and be supported in their learning.
The prerequisites for this workshop are knowing the basics of knitting: casting on and binding off stitches and knit stitch)
In this 5-hour course, you will learn:
– choosing your yarn and needles according to the project
– left- and right-leaning intercalary increases
– left- and right-leaning decreases
– the “icord” edging during knitting
– if you wish, advice to improve your tension, knitting rhythm, and the position of the yarn ball and your hands
We will knit together the key steps of the Marie Scarf during the workshops. There is also knitting time at home for the entire piece.
Recommended yarn and needles:
– 1 ball of Moustache or BB merino from Fonty or equivalent
– 1 pair of circular or straight needles of 3.5 mm diameter
The course includes:
- 2 x 2h30 of sewing accompanied by an experienced teacher
- availability of knitting needles (if you don’t have any)
- smiles, kindness, and respect for everyone
- unlimited drinks
