Kiri scarf kit in circular knitting from the brand Hoooked®

Designed by Catarina Távora from Companhia das Agulhas in Portugal, the Kiri scarf is the perfect stylish addition to your outfit and it is very easy to make. The seed stitch has an amazing texture, creating a beautiful finish and a very refined look.

This pattern suits a beginner knitter confident enough to try new techniques, but a more experienced knitter will also enjoy making it, as the rhythm of the seed stitch can have a very meditative (and addictive!) effect.

The yarn used is Woool'e, the brand-new recycled wool and cotton yarn from Hoooked. When knitted, it creates a soft and comfortable fabric that will keep you warm during the coldest days of winter.

This pattern is knitted flat and features a textured fabric thanks to the seed stitch. In this project, you will use increases and decreases to shape the scarf, as well as special techniques such as the i-cord edging.

Choose a strong colour and knit the small size for a stylish accessory, or make the large size, ideal for wrapping twice around your neck on colder spring mornings.

Model size:

Measured flat (after blocking):
Small size: Width (wingspan): 99 cm Depth: 15 cm
Large size: Width (wingspan): 109 cm Depth: 17 cm

Gauge:
Knit 20 stitches of Seed stitch over 32 rows for a tension gauge of 10 x 10 cm with 3.5 mm knitting needles. It is not crucial to get exactly the same dimensions; make sure to adjust the needles to get a fabric you like and, if necessary, slightly adjust the pattern to achieve the desired measurements.

Highlights of this kit:

- Eco-friendly materials: thanks to the Woool’e yarn made from textile waste from the fashion industry.

- Elegant design: diamond textured pattern on top for a unique aesthetic touch.

- Quick and rewarding project: simple and fast to knit, ideal for quick and satisfying results.

- Customisable: available in 2 sizes (small, large)

- Varied techniques: with choice between the “magic loop” method or 5 double-pointed needles.
