Tatiana Designs in Portugal designed this pair of socks with fine stripes to make them more playful. This project uses Woool’e, a yarn made entirely from recycled pre-consumer textile waste from the Portuguese fashion industry: 60% recycled wool and 40% recycled cotton.
Socks are one of the best clothing accessories for those who like to keep their feet warm on the colder days of winter. Although knitting socks may seem difficult, it is easier than you might think. This is a small, highly portable project, ideal for knitting on the go. You will never get bored, as it uses a few special techniques to keep you on your toes.
They feature alternating stripes that add a playful touch to an elegant pair of socks. They are knitted from the toes up, with a larger heel, and finished with the leg. You can knit them in three sizes—small, medium, or large—depending on your foot size. This pattern is knitted in the round, so you can use 5 double-pointed needles or adapt it to the magic loop method.

For a foot circumference of 21 (23; 24.5) cm
Gauge
Using a 3.0 mm needle, work 27 stockinette stitches over 29 rows to obtain a 10 x 10 cm gauge swatch. If your swatch is smaller or larger, we recommend using a different needle size to avoid discrepancies.
