John Henry Dearle (1860-1932)
Was a British designer of textiles and stained glass trained by the artist and craftsman William Morris who was heavily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Dearle designed many wallpapers and textiles later published by Morris & Co. and contributed to the creation of background and foliage patterns for tapestries featuring characters by Edward Burne-Jones and others.
