Cross-stitch bookmark embroidery kit - "The Sunflowers" by DMC brand (price for the set)

The vibrant yellows of this work are magnificent when embroidered with the included Special Floss thread. This complete bookmark kit was developed in collaboration with the National Gallery, where you can admire one of Van Gogh's Sunflowers paintings. Van Gogh painted five different versions of the Sunflowers to decorate his home in Arles in anticipation of the visit of his friend and fellow artist, Paul Gauguin. This is one of the first paintings Van Gogh created that showcases his characteristic expressive style.

The Dutch post-impressionist painter Van Gogh became one of the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. His landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and self-portraits are marked by vivid colours and a dramatic, impulsive, and expressive brushstroke.
