I Repair My Clothes: Level 2—Invisible Repairs
Would you like to repair your clothes? To give them a second life so you can wear them again?
Are you not always sure how to go about it?
We offer you the chance to learn how to repair your clothes discreetly and subtly, using beautiful methods and finishes that will make you proud to wear your repaired garment without anyone being able to tell!
The prerequisite for this course is knowing how to use a sewing machine and not being afraid of hand sewing.
During this 2.5-hour course session, you will learn :
- the different types of invisible repairs in sewing (no embroidery)
- the methods used for machine sewing
- the key points to ensure that the repair is strong and invisible
- finishing techniques
Together, we will either make tests on calico so that you can learn different methods, or you can bring a woven garment such as a pair of jeans (no jersey/knitwear)
The course includes :
- 2.5 hours of sewing guidance from a teacher experienced in upcycling and repairs
- sewing on high-quality Janome Sewist 780 electronic machines
