I discover the fabrics
Have you started sewing and find yourself wandering like a lost soul in fabric stores when it comes to choosing?
Terms like jersey, french terry, knit, selvedge, poplin, crepe, jacquard... you hear them but don’t really know what’s behind them?
Then the course, I discover fabrics is made for you!
We will learn together to distinguish the main fabric families. We will talk about weaving, materials, ... so you can recognize and understand textiles.
No prerequisites for this course, we start with the basics 😊. Welcome to complete beginners as well as intermediates and advanced learners who can still learn during this course!
The course includes:
- 2 hours of theory on fabrics by an experienced teacher
- a practical presentation of fabrics so you can touch and discover the different materials
- smiles, kindness, and respect for everyone
It is recommended to bring your own materials for note-taking (paper and pencil) if you want to revisit the subject when you get home.
