Sewing – Discovering the Overlocker and Sewing My First Sweatshirt
Would you like to discover how to use a serger and sew knit fabrics? Perhaps you have already bought one but don't dare to use it on your own?
Then the "I discover the serger and sew my first project" course is made for you!
Together we will learn:
- What the main features of a serger are
- How to thread it
- The precautions to take when using it
- The differences between knit fabrics
- And above all, we will sew your first sweatshirt together!
The prerequisites for this course are to have already sewn a garment using a sewing machine.
It is not necessary to have used a serger before for this course; we start with the basics so that you adopt the right reflexes and methods right from your beginnings on this machine.
Together we will create a sweatshirt that you will take home at the end of the second session.
The group consists of a maximum of 6 students.
The course includes:
- 1 X 3h of technical explanations, tests, and Pattern preparation
- 1 X 3h of sewing the project (basic sweatshirt - choice of women's, men's, or children's model)
- The use of 3 Juki sergers and one Brother
- The provision of basic equipment: scissors, pins, black or white serger thread…
- A warm smile, kindness, and respect for everyone
Price: 99€
Not included: the knit fabric, ribbing, and spools of serger thread matching your jersey.
