Sewing - I discover sewing
Have you always dreamed of knowing how to sew but never dared to start? Then this course is made for you!
Together, we will learn how to use a sewing machine and especially how to sew your first real sewing projects!
No prior knowledge is required for this course; we begin with the basics so that you develop the right habits and methods from the start of your sewing journey.
During these 4 sessions of 2 hours and 30 minutes each, you will learn:
- the parts of the sewing machine and its basic functions
- how to use the sewing machine safely
- the first machine adjustments and how to change the presser foot
- your first notions about sewing tools and basic fabrics
- straight and curved sewing…
- how to insert a zipper
- how to apply a bias tape or piping
We will complete 3 full projects together, which you will take home with you.
The course includes:
- 4 sessions of 2 hours and 30 minutes of guided sewing with an experienced teacher
- sewing on quality electronic Janome Sewist 780 machines
- provision of basic tools: scissors, pins, thread…
- the materials needed to make your first three projects
- smiles, kindness, and respect for everyone

- Metro 1 (Joséphine Charlotte stop) - 9 minutes on foot
- Metro 1 (Montgomery stop) - 9 minutes on foot
- Metro 1 or 5 (Mérode stop) - 12 minutes on foot
- Train (Mérode stop) - 12 minutes on foot
- Train (Etterbeek station) then take the connection with tram 7 towards Heyzel or tram 25 towards Roger to George Henri stop - 4 minutes on foot
