I sew the Pam coat from Maison Fauve (size 34 to 52)

Do you dream of sewing your first coat but hesitate to start alone because the technique and thicknesses intimidate you?
Do you have an intermediate sewing level and want a challenge for your next sewing projects? Then why not come sew your first coat with me?

The pattern offered is the Pam model from Maison Fauve, which will delight you with its shawl collar.
This model is available in sizes 34 to 52.
You can choose another model if you wish, such as the Namasté by Coralie Bijasson, Merlin by Iam Patterns... (please contact us beforehand).

We will create a beautiful coat model together, carefully explaining all the technical steps.

During these 4 sessions of 3 hours each, we will cover together:

- theoretical explanations about the coat, specific supplies...
- coat specifics: pockets, lining, collar, ...
- practical applications, especially the specifics of making pockets and lining
- making a toile and adjustments
- and of course, the creation of your first coat

The course includes:

• 4 x 3-hour sewing sessions guided by an experienced instructor
• the printed pattern and cutting paper needed for tracing and modifications
• calico toile for the test garment
• sewing on quality electronic machines Janome Sewist 780 and Juki Kirei serger
• access to basic tools: scissors, pins, thread, Japanese ruler, needles…
• smiles, kindness, and respect for everyone

Required level for this course: intermediate
- You need to have sewn several garments before (know how to trace a pattern, understand piece orientation, manage seam allowances, cut fabric, etc.)
- You need to be autonomous in using a sewing machine (know how to thread it, adjust stitch length based on instructions, etc.)

This course requires some work at home, so plan some time between sessions to progress on easier steps at home, which will be well explained by the instructor—no worries 😉.

It is possible to choose another model upon prior request at registration to confirm feasibility together.
