Sewing – I combine fabrics and Patterns for successful sewing projects
Have you taken up sewing and learned about the different types of fabrics, but still struggle to match your Patterns with your fabrics?
Are you disappointed with how your makes turn out despite all your efforts to choose the right Patterns and fabrics? Are you tired of "wasting" fabric or not wearing what you have made?
Then the course, I match Patterns and fabrics for successful makes is made for you!
Together, we will learn how to pair fabric and Pattern. We will discuss drape, material, stretch, style...
For this course, it is necessary to have taken the course "I discover fabrics" or to have a good understanding of fabric materials and types of weaves, as these concepts will not be covered (or reviewed) during this course.
Beginners as well as intermediate and advanced sewers are all welcome and will still find plenty to learn during this course!
The course includes:
- 2h of theory on pairings by an experienced teacher
- hands-on presentation of fabrics
- presentation of typical Pattern types and key points to watch out for
- major mistakes to avoid
- smiles, kindness, and respect for everyone
We recommend bringing your note-taking supplies (paper and pen) if you wish to review the material once you get back home.
Our courses are held in our workshop at:
Either in Ixelles: Avenue de la couronne, 357 1050 Ixelles
