Introduction to sashiko (materials included)
You have always dreamed of embroidering your creations or customizing your clothes with Japanese sashiko embroidery… and never dared to start? Then the introductory sashiko embroidery course is made for you!
You will learn to make your first sashiko stitches allowing you to create endlessly. You will also receive all the supplies for this course: fabric, needle, thimble, and thread which you will take home with you.
No prior knowledge is required for this course; we start with the basics so that you develop the right habits and methods from the very beginning in sashiko. This course is open to teenagers from 12 years old.
During this 2h30 course session, you will learn:
- what materials are used in sashiko embroidery (threads, needle, base...)
- how to properly start and finish your work
- how to correctly stitch the points
- how to create your first pattern
- how to complete your work
We will create a project together that you will take home with you.
The course includes:
- 2h30 of embroidery guided by an experienced teacher
- All necessary supplies for the workshop which you will take home

- Metro 5 (Delta stop) - 15 minutes on foot or connection with Bus 71 to Ixelles cemetery
Getting to the Woluwe workshop by public transport:
