What you will learn with this pattern: make a button placket directly on the body or assemble a facing, apply bias tape to the neckline and sleeve hems for the bias option. Sew optional pockets.

Material suggestions:

  • Fabric 1: knit or woven (warp and weft) 

    Sweatshirt material, french terry, milano knit (Ponti Roma), heavy jersey, polar knit, jersey or quilted fabric, knit or woven denim, jacquard.

  • Fabric 2 optional: poplin for facing of version B.

      • Fabric 2 is optional: the facing of version B can also be made in the main fabric 1. The supply table includes the facings in the fabric 1 requirements
      • buttons from 12 to 20 mm or snap buttons for anorak (plan one less in case of short version B)
      • knit or woven bias optional
      • Bias tape to bind the inner seam allowances: if you want to bind the seam allowances of the body and sleeves (side seams, inside sleeves and pattern placket or facing, unbound armholes) plan for about 3 to 4 m of bias tape in addition to the needs indicated in the table. We explain in a video how to bind the seam allowances.
