Size range: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 years

Material suggestions:
Woven: sherpa, faux fur, puffer, fleece, corduroy, linen, poplin, double gauze, flannel, wool fabric, denim, chambray, dotted Swiss, gabardine

Knit: sweatshirt, French terry, quilted sweatshirt, jersey, terry cloth

Ribbing for ribbed collar option

Batting if quilted option


Supplies to provide:

  • Plastic or metal separating zip (option) for non-standard sizes, see in the tutorial how to shorten a zip  

  • Button(s) + cord for loop (option)

  • Tie: ribbon, cord, lace, braid... (option)

  • Frog fastener(s) (option)

The requirements are the same for the outer fabric and the lining. The indicated needs are for one fabric only. For example, for a vest without hood in size 3 years, you will need 40 cm of outer fabric and 40 cm of lining.

If the material is very thick, prefer to cut the size above to keep some ease.
