This sewing project is designed to keep you warm in winter. It combines a hood, a high collar, and what essentially serves as a chest guard. (By the way, it is unisex and I believe it will make a perfect Christmas gift!)
Seam allowances are included: 1 cm all around.

How to download, print, cut, assemble, choose your size and more in this PDF patterns 101 guide: https://youtu.be/04OuqgUOgME
MATERIAL AND SUPPLIES
• Outer fabric: sweatshirt fabric, fleece, velour, quilted fabric, denim, nylon, knit... With or without stretch. Note that to sew the project following method 2 (burrito, see chapters under the video tutorial on Youtube), it is essential to have at least one fabric, either the outer or the lining, fairly stretchy.
• Lining: my sample is lined with cotton jersey/5% lycra, but you may choose not to line it (adjust hood seam allowance), or to line it with fleece, sherpa, or other thick and cosy fabrics. Choose a stretchy fabric if you are interested in method 2 (see tutorial on Youtube).
See fabric length among the pictures.
• Cord: stretchable or not. 130 cm / 51" long. Cord stopper optional.
• Bias or webbing tape (if method 3 - see video tutorial) 150 cm / 60" long
SIZES
4 sizes for children.
3-6 years: 98-116 cm / 39"-46"
7-9 years: 122-134 cm / 48"-53"
10-12 years: 140-146 cm / 4.6-4.8 ft
12-14 years: 152-158 cm / 5-5.2 ft
How to know which size to choose? For reference, I took size M and my head circumference is 56 cm.
1. Measure your head circumference at the forehead.
2. Measure the collar parts, allowing 2 cm for seam allowance: which size matches your head measurement? If your fabric is stretchy, you can allow 2-3 cm of negative ease. If your fabric is not stretchy: take the same length as your head circumference.
DIFFICULTY
Easy! I offer you 3 ways to finish the Comfort Hood, one of the methods, the burrito one, is difficult (see chapters under the YouTube video).
