This pretty baby bodysuit pattern will suit both girls and boys.
It has very comfortable American armholes and a version with shoulder opening is also offered. 

  • Long or short sleeves.
  • Optional pocket.
  • Several collar types: round collar, high collar, ruffle collar or peter pan collar.
  • Two possible finishes: elastic bias or ribbing.

The basic bodysuit to adapt through the seasons

The bodysuit could also be used as a swimsuit, especially the long-sleeve and high collar version in a UV-protective swimsuit style. In this case, use a specific stretch swimsuit fabric for the body and the edging bands (finishes, straps, armholes, etc.). Keep the crotch opening with snaps or close this opening by sewing the front and back together at the crotch.

Sewing level: intermediate

What you will learn with this pattern: make finishes in ribbing or with elastic bias, sew an American armhole or a shoulder pattern.

Supplies to provide:

- hollow snaps for jersey (for the crotch and shoulder opening option)
