What you will learn with this pattern: gathering panels, attaching a button placket, lining a sheath cut, attaching a casing for the elastic waist option, attaching ruffles and sewing bias straps.

Cotton fabrics (poplin, cotton batiste), viscose and crepe viscose, chambray, light denim, soft linen, seersucker, double gauze. Jersey knit.

For the elastic waist dress, consider the number of buttons on the top (either 4 or 5 depending on ages), as the skirt is not buttoned.
Prepaid commercial bias : 100 cm for classic straps, 200 cm for tie straps. Preferably use woven bias for woven garments, jersey bias for jersey garments.
Thin fusible interfacing : 80 x 5 cm for buttoned versions
Thin ribbon or Stabilmanche© 30 cm to stabilize jersey bias
The lining pieces of the front and back yoke are planned in the main fabric. They can obviously be cut in another fabric; you then need 15 cm of this other fabric (for a width of 140 cm).
