An ultra-feminine style with a loose cut (loose)

Material suggestions:

  • Main fabric

Cotton fabric: poplin, light twill, voile, double gauze, soft denim, crepon, plumetis. Linen for summer. Fine corduroy for winter. Cotton viscose blends or 100% viscose, tencel, modal, light and soft denim (or chambray). Do not use thick material because of gathers and ruffles.

  • Lining option

Voile or poplin (cotton or polyester)

  • 11-12mm buttons (front buttoning and cuffs)
  • thin fusible interfacing

 Ruffles are more beautiful when made in one piece without a seam at the shoulder. They are then cut on the fabric fold. However, for widths of 110 cm, I suggested placing the ruffles vertically because it is not possible to cut the ruffles on the fabric fold for most sizes. This is also the case with 140 cm wide fabrics for sizes 10/11/12 years. The fabric widths are not large enough. Also, this vertical placement of the ruffles on the cutting plan saves fabric consumption but requires a seam at the shoulder (so you have fabric needs in 110 cm for small sizes less than in 140 cm where the ruffles are cut on the fold and thus in one piece... you can adapt if you prefer ruffles in one piece or less fabric consumption).
