Printed sewing pattern for women from size 32 to 52

3 shapes : dress, top or nightshirt

3 lengths : dress above the knees, mid-hip blouse, crop-top

Thin or tie straps. Front and back can be swapped for multiple versions. Dress with optional belt or with cut and elastic casing. Top cut lined at the top and gathered at the bottom. Long or short top with elastic in crop-top style. Front with buttons or without buttons optional. Small ruffles at the armhole optional. Can be worn layered over a t-shirt . Pattern to be made in woven or jersey knit depending on the chosen look

What you will learn with this pattern : gathering panels, attaching a button placket, lining a sheath cut, making a casing for the elastic waist option, attaching ruffles and sewing bias-cut straps.

Size range :  32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52

Size 32 roughly corresponds to a 14 years old and size 34 to a 16 years old

Suggested fabrics:

Cotton fabric (poplin, cotton batiste), viscose and viscose crepe, chambray, light denim, soft linen, seersucker, double gauze. Jersey knit.

Supplies

• 1.5 cm wide elastic for elasticated versions
• Bias tape for straps: 140 cm for classic straps, 240 cm for tie straps
• Buttons 9 to 11 mm
• Fusible interfacing max 100 x 5 cm for buttoned versions
• 45 cm of thin ribbon or Stabilmanche© to stabilize bias tape on jersey

Fabric requirements do not include pre-made bias tape to be purchased. If you wish to make your own bias tape (cut at 45° on the fabric), you should consider the requirements indicated in parentheses. NB: straps 1 cm wide from size 32 to 46 and 2 cm wide from 48 to 52. - Regarding the elastic, it is best to measure your waist and cut that length of elastic. The 2 ends of the elastic will overlap by 1 cm to form the seam allowances, thus you will have a well-tensioned elastic that holds well. - The lining pieces for the front and back yoke are included in the main fabric. They can of course be cut from another fabric; in that case you will need 15 cm of that other fabric (for a width of 140 cm).
