This year, the holidays were an opportunity to (re)visit some cities in France but also to discover a few haberdasheries.
I invite you to start with the pink city, the aptly named Toulouse.
Under 40°C, we were able to discover 3 haberdasheries located right in the urban center.

Les Marchandes
The first one I would like to introduce to you, and which is a real favorite, is la mercerie les marchandes.
Established since September 2009, at 8 rue du Taur, a dynamic team made up of Claire and Julie welcomes you to this lovely haberdashery from Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 7 pm.
They offer cut fabrics from Europe, selected with taste.
Fabrics are cut from 50cm and include a beautiful collection of Oeko Tex certified fabrics.
You will also find brands such as: Eglantine et Zoé, See you at six, Cousette... with a nice selection of prints: stripes, tartan, floral,...
Haberdashery items are also part of the range. You will find bias tape, elastics, threads... including 3 pretty bias tapes with beautiful "wedding flower" wax patterns.
You will also find ready-to-use or cut ribbing.
Patterns are also for sale including the Beaux Gosses collection, Cosy Little World, Deer and Doe, IAM Patterns, and Atelier Scammit...
For those interested, it is also possible to take sewing courses or buy some clothes made on site by the team.
A really great discovery for me.
I still gave in and treated myself to the Ségur pattern from Cozy Little World that had been catching my eye for a while... After seeing so many beautiful creations on Instagram, I really want to sew my own version.

2. Toto
I think everyone knows the Toto store chain recognizable by its yellow sign. Since 1961, this chain has offered upholstery fabric, clothing fabric, household linen, voile, and haberdashery at relatively affordable prices.
The Toulouse store welcomes us from Monday to Saturday from 10 to 19 at No. 21 rue Saint Rome.
The store is quite spacious and is located at the back of the courtyard.

You will find a selection of African fabrics, coupons from 1 to 3m at competitive prices (+/- 5 euros/m), fabric by weight and fabric by the cut.
During sales periods, it can be very interesting even if, however, you will need to do a bit of digging.
I still found a pretty 100% royal blue cotton printed with white that will be used to make a beautiful shirt for my man; so it was worth a little rummaging ;-)
3. Docks des tissus
A big regret for me, because I couldn't visit the showroom of Docks des tissus that I follow on Instagram... it will be for another time. Well yes, it's closed on Monday :-( but it's open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 12:30 and from 14 to 19 at 22 rue de Lafayette, just steps from Place du Capitole.
The store is also located in the back courtyard. Looking through the window, I was able to see the superior quality fabrics selected with rigorous quality criteria. Indeed, Docks des tissus has specialized for 30 years in high-quality / haute couture clothing textiles.
You will find silks, lace, linen, silk muslin, damask... In short, it will be an opportunity for me to return to Toulouse, a super nice city to discover!
